November Newsletter words surrounded by pumpkins, apples, and green stems

NOTE FROM THE PRINCIPAL

November has arrived. We are so excited that we were able to meet with all our families during our recent Parent Teacher Conferences. The importance of communication is critical to student success, and we appreciate all your time and efforts in coming to our school for your child’s conferences.

I wanted to also make you aware of some upcoming events. Tomorrow, November 5 we have an awesome opportunity as we are hosting an event called Body Venture. This is sponsored by the Kansas Department of Education and supports our students learning about the different body systems. On November 11th we have our next NV Site Council Meeting. This starts at 5:00 and is in the library. On that same date, we have our next scheduled PTA meeting at 6:00 in the library as well. Our NV 3rd grade music program is on Tuesday, November 18th. This event begins at 6:00 in our multipurpose room. The entry will be at door 4 by the multipurpose room and the doors will unlock at 5:45.

Our Northview students’ attendance continues to rock! We had 11 classrooms that met the 95% goal for the month of October. The challenging winter months are coming up. This is where we have historically had a dip in our attendance. Please continue to encourage your child to come to school and do their best each day. During the months of November, December and January there is so much to learn and the gains that are made can’t be if students are not at Northview each day.

Finally, thank you for your continued support. Whether it comes at our annual Trunk or Treat events or Parent Teacher Conference meal sign ups, we know we can count on our awesome Northview families. It is the partnership of school and home that helps students optimize their learning and grow to reach all their goals.

Thanks again for your support.
